Currently, FABS is expanding its project and construction management team for multiple upcoming assignments across India.
Job Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Finishing Civil Engineer to oversee residential construction projects in Bangalore. The role demands managing all finishing operations on-site, maintaining quality benchmarks, ensuring adherence to schedules, and coordinating across various teams to guarantee project success.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and supervise finishing activities such as plastering, flooring and tiling, painting, false ceiling installation, waterproofing, joinery, and other interior finishing works.
- Monitor daily site operations to verify that completion aligns with architectural drawings and technical specifications.
- Collaborate intensively with contractors, suppliers, architects, and consultants to facilitate smooth workflows.
- Implement quality control and enforce safety protocols at the construction site.
- Generate daily and weekly progress documentation for ongoing review.
- Review material requirements carefully and regulate waste to optimize costs.
- Conduct site inspections regularly and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Ensure projects reach completion within predetermined timeframes and budgets.
- Manage the resolution of snag lists and punch points prior to project handover.
Qualifications and Experience
- B.E., B.Tech, or Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
- 5 to 10 years of practical experience in residential construction, specifically in finishing works.
- Proficient in site supervision and execution with a strong grasp of quality control principles.
- Understanding of bill of quantities (BOQ) and architectural drawings.
- Effective management of multiple teams working concurrently on-site.
- Strong communication skills for contractor and team coordination.
Candidate Profile
- In-depth knowledge of finishing processes in high-rise and residential building projects.
- Capability to manage several site teams simultaneously.
- Availability for immediate joining is desirable.
