Financial Controller

About the Role

We are partnering with an exporting Irish SME based in West Kerry to recruit a Financial Controller who will manage the finance department and report directly to the CEO. This role combines oversight of day-to-day financial operations and contributing to business growth in both domestic and international markets. It is ideal for a qualified accountant seeking to progress to a Financial Controller position within an Irish SME.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and oversight of quarterly and annual budgets aligning with company strategies.
• Review and present monthly management accounts to senior leadership, providing detailed financial analysis and trend insights.
• Collaborate closely with operations to enhance performance, support projects, and improve commercial results.
• Maintain strong knowledge of VAT compliance and legislation relevant to the business.
• Manage cash flow forecasting, liquidity monitoring, and ensure timely payment processing.
• Prepare high-quality quarterly and annual financial reports meeting internal and external standards.
• Establish, implement, and improve financial controls and processes to ensure operational efficiency and scalability.

Candidate Profile

• Must hold a recognised accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or equivalent.
• Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
• Committed to continuous learning and professional development.

Additional Information

Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
