Field Supervisor

Overview

The Field Supervisor is responsible for managing and coordinating on-site operations related to equipment and operator deployment. This role involves oversight of attendance tracking, equipment status, breakdown management, operator skill evaluation, and compliance with document requirements to ensure seamless field activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and report operator attendance, equipment usage including working and breakdown statuses, and logistical delays such as pending starts or returns.
• Develop site plans prioritizing operational needs and coordinate equipment and operator allocation accordingly.
• Follow up on equipment breakdowns and organize timely repairs through vendor coordination.
• Identify operator shortages by gathering data from supervisors and plan recruitment and training interventions in collaboration with the training and resource teams.
• Evaluate operator competencies and assign operators to sites based on skills and vacancies.
• Engage directly with customers to understand their requirements for operator and equipment deployment and to coordinate deputations.
• Review work and purchase orders to determine document requirements for both equipment and operators, then coordinate with sales to gather and arrange required documentation, such as third-party inspections, insurance, pollution certificates, experience certificates, and driving licenses.
• Organize loading and unloading of equipment safely, including coordinating hydrant assistance and ensuring adherence to safety standards like proper tire placement and secure locking mechanisms.
• Manage budget allocation for operator personal protective equipment (PPE), medical needs, travel, accommodation, conveyance, and equipment maintenance tools like fire extinguishers and first aid kits.
• Ensure timely submission and verification of operator logsheets and attendance records, coordinate with HR on attendance and overtime processing, and manage salary grading based on performance evaluations.
• Oversee monthly collection and verification of bills and claims, coordinate with billing teams for summary creation, and follow up to guarantee complete certification and invoicing within the assigned region.
• Maintain open communication with customers during site visits to record feedback and facilitate continuous improvement.

Additional Information

This position requires diligent follow-ups to maintain operational efficiency and ensure compliance within the field environment. The supervisor is also responsible for claim validations with approval routing to higher management as appropriate.

Salary and Benefits

The role offers a monthly salary in the range of 25000 to 27000 INR.
