About the Company
DB Intermodal Services GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of TFG Transfracht GmbH within the Deutsche Bahn Group, specializes in transporter-related services. It manages a nationwide network of container depots, repair workshops, handling terminals, and container delivery operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Evaluate damages on overseas containers thoroughly.
- Identify and document damage locations according to shipping company requirements.
- Determine the container part, position, and suitable repair methods to support cost estimate calculations.
- Assess containers with special conditions such as hazardous goods loading or food-grade suitability.
- Engage in communication with shipping companies regarding dispute resolution.
- Provide technical consultation and support to surveyors appointed by shipping lines.
- Inspect damages on purchase and sale containers owned by DBIS.
- Perform special tasks as assigned by direct supervisors.
Qualifications
- Completed training and professional experience in steel construction or locksmithing.
- Possession of a valid welding certificate.
- Holder of CE driver's license and forklift operation certification is desirable.
