Job Overview
The Executive Director of Pilates is charged with overseeing and guiding the strategic direction, technical standards, and overall excellence of Pilates programs and instructors within the organization. This role ensures the delivery of premium quality Pilates experiences that reflect current industry best practices and fulfill a consistent, high-caliber client service across all locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement the organization’s strategic approach to Pilates, including methodology and program development.
- Set and uphold technical standards for Pilates classes, private sessions, and instructor practices.
- Lead innovation in Pilates program offerings, new concepts, class styles, and services.
- Manage the recruitment, assessment, onboarding, and professional growth of Pilates instructors and senior trainers.
- Develop and enforce instructor competency benchmarks, training curriculums, certification needs, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure consistent quality and delivery of Pilates sessions across multiple studios and locations.
- Regularly evaluate instructor performance and provide coaching and developmental guidance.
- Maintain awareness of global Pilates trends, equipment innovations, certifications, and best practices.
- Collaborate with general management to drive business expansion, improve studio offerings, and elevate client experiences.
- Plan instructor staffing in accordance with demand and expansion strategies.
- Guarantee that Pilates programs adhere to pertinent safety and professional standards.
- Represent the organization at Pilates, fitness, wellness industry events, and build strategic partnerships.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- Highly preferred: Pilates certification from a recognized international training body.
- Between 8 to 12 years of experience in Pilates, fitness, or wellness sectors, emphasizing Pilates leadership roles.
- Deep understanding of Pilates techniques, equipment, programming, and instructor advancement.
- Proven track record in managing and growing large teams of Pilates or fitness professionals.
- Experienced in creating technical standards, training systems, and quality control mechanisms.
- Experience in overseeing multiple studios or extensive Pilates operations is a significant advantage.
- Strong leadership capabilities paired with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercially astute with the ability to link Pilates standards to enhanced customer experience and business development.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is beneficial.
