Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Electrical Chargehands to lead our electrical teams on site. This role involves supervising installation activities to ensure safety, compliance, and timely completion of the work. The successful candidate will benefit from a supportive work environment where their input is recognized and valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and organize electrical crews to complete installation tasks safely, accurately, and within deadlines.
• Examine drawings, method statements, and permits; provide clear instructions to teams and communicate any design conflicts or issues to engineers and supervisors.
• Oversee the management of materials and equipment, ensuring prompt ordering, monitoring deliveries, and controlling on-site usage to prevent delays.
• Promote and enforce safety standards by conducting toolbox talks, implementing Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and ensuring compliance with site safety regulations and client expectations.

Candidate Profile

• Holds a recognized electrical trade qualification such as QQI Level 6 Electrical Craft Certificate.
• Has at least 1 year of supervisory experience in electrical installation on large industrial or pharmaceutical projects.
• Possesses strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ATEX regulations, and LOTO procedures.
• Capable of reading and interpreting electrical schematics, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), loop sheets, and other technical documents.
• Exhibits leadership and communication skills required to direct teams, coordinate subcontractors, and resolve technical issues effectively on site.
• Maintains current safety certifications including Safe Pass, Manual Handling, MEWP operation, and supervisor-level safety training.
• Demonstrates excellent coordination skills and thrives in fast-paced, milestone-driven environments.
• Committed to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and teamwork.
