Role overview
This contract role in Charlotte, NC focuses on supporting electronic funds transfer operations with an emphasis on debit card dispute handling. The position is responsible for managing dispute cases efficiently, safeguarding member assets, and ensuring that all activities remain aligned with applicable rules and compliance standards.
What you’ll do
As the main contact for dispute-related issues, you will review and investigate debit card claims, help resolve cases in a timely manner, and support smooth workflow across internal teams. The work is fast-moving and requires a strong focus on accuracy, regulatory adherence, and customer experience.
Key knowledge and skills
- Working knowledge of debit card dispute procedures and processing rules.
- Solid understanding of Regulation E and Visa Zero Liability requirements.
- Strong investigative thinking and practical problem-solving ability.
- High attention to detail when working on urgent, time-sensitive items.
- Clear communication skills for both member-facing and internal coordination.
- Ability to work alone when needed and also collaborate to meet deadlines.
Education and experience
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. An associate’s or bachelor’s degree is preferred. Background in payments, dispute handling, or financial operations is beneficial. Certifications related to banking or payments are considered an advantage.
Assignment details
This is a 6-month contract assignment based onsite in Charlotte, NC. The pay range is $45 to $50 per hour.
