About the Role
Join Marina Bay Sands as an Education Specialist for Public Programmes on a temporary basis and elevate your passion for arts and sciences. Collaborate with experienced professionals to enrich the educational experiences offered by the museum and contribute to its dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily museum operations, including the reception of school groups, corporate visitors, and public audiences.
- Manage shift activities efficiently, including working weekends and public holidays, reporting to Assistant Manager or Manager to ensure smooth operations.
- Collaborate closely with the Programmes Team to deliver a variety of educational initiatives such as tours, workshops, online programs, and events targeted at schools and the public.
- Engage professionally and positively with visitors, providing inspiring and informative guidance about museum exhibitions and galleries.
- Consistently deliver outstanding customer service to school and public groups, maintaining a professional image at all times through conduct and appearance.
- Maintain full familiarity with all Standard Operating Procedures and current exhibition content relevant to the museum.
- Coordinate with management regarding daily and weekly shift schedules, including duties on weekends and public holidays.
- Support administrative tasks including website updates and responding to inquiries.
- Manage inventories essential for the execution of educational programs.
- Perform other museum-related duties as needed to support business needs.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of at least a certificate or diploma in Tourism, Hospitality, Arts Management, Art Education, or an equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of one year of professional experience in fields related to hospitality, tourism, education, arts, or culture.
