Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Director of Technical Delivery specializing in .Net technologies to lead comprehensive Application Development & Maintenance (ADM) programs for a global strategic client based in Bengaluru. This senior leadership role involves overseeing end-to-end delivery, managing large offshore teams, and nurturing long-standing client partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete delivery lifecycle of major ADM initiatives focused on Microsoft technologies.
- Lead and mentor offshore teams consisting of over 100 engineers, technical leads, architects, and project managers.
- Develop and sustain strong, trust-based relationships with client stakeholders to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Implement delivery governance procedures including planning, risk management, quality assurance, and progress reporting.
- Promote engineering excellence by adopting modern software engineering methods, automation, DevOps practices, and ongoing improvements.
- Drive adoption of AI technologies within engineering teams, fostering a culture that encourages innovation and operational excellence.
- Set up and reinforce Agile frameworks ensuring adherence to best practices across projects.
- Provide technical leadership through architecture guidance, innovation initiatives, productivity enhancements, and technology modernization.
- Build high-performing teams via coaching, mentoring, succession planning, and employee engagement activities.
- Manage financial aspects of projects including budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, and resource allocation for both Time & Material and Fixed Price models.
- Identify opportunities for business growth within accounts and contribute to solution proposals and account expansion efforts.
- Prepare and deliver executive dashboards, delivery status reviews, and strategic updates to senior client executives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure project success and maintain ongoing customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 18 years' experience in IT services including application development and delivery management.
- Proven track record managing large-scale ADM engagements based on Microsoft technologies.
- Experienced in leading global delivery teams of 100+ professionals.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, project governance, and program management.
- Skilled in managing senior client stakeholders and delivering executive-level communications.
- Competent in handling Fixed Price and Time & Material contract types.
- Experienced in financial management including budgeting, forecasting, revenue monitoring, and resource planning.
- Background in promoting engineering best practices, innovation, automation, and AI integration.
- Excellent leadership, decision-making, conflict resolution, stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication abilities.
Preferred Certifications and Additional Skills
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
- Agile certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMI-ACP, SAFe Agilist or equivalents are desirable.
- Experience with AI-enabled software engineering and delivery transformation initiatives.
- Prior involvement in proposal development, solution design, and account growth strategies.
- Exposure to the EdTech domain is a bonus but not mandatory.
