Role Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized one-on-one support to individuals with developmental disabilities at home and in community settings
• Assist with daily living tasks including cooking, cleaning, personal hygiene, grooming, and transportation
• Encourage and facilitate participation in social and community activities like shopping and social events
• Support individuals in achieving personal objectives and celebrate their progress
• Promote autonomy by fostering choice, independence, and self-advocacy
• Document care activities and progress accurately and thoroughly
• Maintain clear communication with team members to ensure consistent, high-quality support

Eligibility Criteria

• Minimum age of 18 years
• High school diploma or equivalent credential
• Successful completion of background checks and mandatory training programs
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation with proof of insurance (primary or secondary)
• Ability to provide care safely and respectfully in clients’ homes and community environments
• Compassion, dependability, and a genuine motivation to make a positive impact on clients' lives

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or autism
• Familiarity with implementing Individual Activity Support Plans (ASP) and Plans of Service and Supports (PSS)
• Knowledge of foundational behavioral support techniques such as redirection, visual prompts, and modifying environments
