Role Overview
We are seeking a Digital Engineering Lead specializing in Water to spearhead the delivery of water-related projects across New Zealand. This senior role combines direct project involvement with national leadership, setting standards and advancing digital engineering practices to improve consistency, quality, and efficiency company-wide.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead digital delivery efforts on water infrastructure projects, including hands-on work with modelling, design, and technical applications.
- Develop and implement consistent modelling standards, workflows, and quality assurance frameworks.
- Provide expert technical advice to the Water Leadership Team regarding digital engineering methodologies.
- Drive enhancement of tools, systems, and processes to boost project efficiency and outcomes.
- Coach and strengthen the digital capabilities of project teams throughout the country.
- Promote adoption of ISO 19650-aligned procedures within digital delivery frameworks.
- Shape the strategic direction of digital engineering within the water sector to foster innovation.
- Ensure high-quality, dependable digital delivery to maximize client satisfaction.
Candidate Profile
- Extensive experience in digital engineering related to infrastructure or water projects, with proficiency in Civil 3D and/or Plant 3D.
- Demonstrated leadership in embedding digital delivery standards, workflows, and quality control across multidisciplinary teams.
- Hands-on work ethic, capable of contributing directly to project execution while mentoring colleagues.
- Experience in guiding digital transformation initiatives within engineering environments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influence skills at both project level and senior leadership.
- A commitment to innovation and ongoing enhancement of digital delivery methods.
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or equivalent practical experience preferred.
