Job Responsibilities
- Manage installation, configuration, and maintenance of the latest Cloudera Data Platform (CDP), version 7.1.9 or higher.
- Implement security frameworks and optimize cluster performance in CDP environments.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to enhance Spark job performance.
- Troubleshoot Spark, Hive, and Yarn job issues effectively.
- Handle CDP containerization with data services.
- Develop automation scripts using Shell, Terraform, Groovy, and Ansible.
- Create and maintain automated pipelines/workflows leveraging tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD with a preference for Python-based solutions.
- Automate security and regulatory compliance checks as well as patching processes.
- Utilize containerization technologies such as Podman, Docker, and OpenShift Container Platform (OCP).
- Administer container orchestration with Kubernetes and OpenShift.
- Employ Linux OS fundamentals and networking basics for system operations.
- Maintain source control processes using Git.
- Adopt agile engineering methodologies and practices.
Candidate Requirements
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Cloudera platform, particularly CDP versions 1.5.4, 1.5.5, and CDP 7.1.9 or later.
- Proficiency in installation, maintenance, and security enablement within CDP.
- Skilled in troubleshooting Spark, Hive, and Yarn jobs.
- Experience in writing automation scripts using Shell, Terraform, Groovy, and Ansible.
- Familiarity with automated pipeline tools including GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD, preferably with Python scripting.
- Knowledge of container technologies (Podman, Docker, OCP) and container management platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift).
- Strong understanding of Linux operating systems and networking concepts.
- Experience with agile work environments and Git-based source control.
Eligibility and Education
Applicants should have a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) or Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in any specialization.
