Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Despatch Clerk for our retail operations team. This role involves supporting the transport department by assisting senior staff with driver logistics and essential documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispatching drivers efficiently and ensuring all necessary paperwork is prepared accurately.
• Completing customer and internal KPIs as required.
• Accurately entering trailer numbers into the internal tracking system.
• Overseeing the service board to verify correct week numbers align with depot trailers.
• Communicating site procedures to drivers via the gate communication system when necessary.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Prior experience in transportation, logistics, or administrative functions is advantageous.
• Solid comprehension of transport operations with the capability to maintain accuracy in a fast-moving environment.
• Strong organizational skills and effective time management, enabling workload prioritization.
• Professionalism, flexibility, excellent communication skills, and the ability to stay composed under pressure.
• Keen attention to detail and dedication to maintaining precise records and adherence to compliance standards.

Work Schedule

Shift pattern involves 4 nights on and 4 nights off, working from 18:00 to 06:00.

Compensation

The annual salary for this position is £26,000.
