Job overview
This role is for a delivery-focused team member at a Domino’s location in McKenzie, Tennessee. The operation is expanding and is hiring immediately for delivery experts who can cover either short or long shifts. Both part-time and full-time schedules are available, and the shifts can be selected to better fit individual availability.
Drivers in this position generally earn more than $20 per hour when base pay, tips, and mileage reimbursement are combined. Tips and mileage reimbursement are paid daily, while hourly wages are paid every other Friday.
Applicants may use their own vehicle and receive mileage reimbursement that helps cover fuel and other vehicle-related costs. Alternatively, eligible drivers may use a company vehicle for deliveries, provided they are at least 21 years old, have a clean driving record, and can show at least 2 years of driving history. A strong safety record is required either way.
The company highlights that its delivery teams use modern technology designed to support safer and faster deliveries, which can also improve earning potential through greater efficiency.
Working style and growth
This role offers flexible scheduling so team members can choose shifts that suit their lifestyle. There are also promotional pathways within the organization, including opportunities to move into Shift Lead, Assistant Manager, General Manager, and higher leadership roles. The business notes that a large share of franchise owners began their careers as drivers.
Responsibilities
As a delivery driver, you will transport products within the assigned delivery zone, provide timely service, and support a smooth customer experience. The role may include multiple deliveries per shift, safe driving, handling food items and drinks, and using route information to locate addresses accurately. You may also be expected to assist with in-store tasks as needed and maintain quality standards throughout each delivery.
Requirements
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and able to pass a background screening. A valid driver’s license is required, along with a safe driving record that will be reviewed through the motor vehicle report. You must have a dependable vehicle and valid insurance if using your own car. Strong navigation ability is needed, including the ability to read maps, follow directions, and find locations within the delivery area.
The job may involve navigating difficult terrain, including buildings with multiple flights of stairs. Candidates should be able to work independently and with others, handle pressure, follow instructions, repeat tasks reliably, and uphold strict quality expectations. Good customer service, sound judgment, and the ability to collect and interpret information are also important.
Work environment
The position involves exposure to changing weather conditions while on deliveries, as well as varying indoor temperatures. In-store areas may range from 36 degrees in coolers to 90 degrees or higher in some work zones. The job can also involve food odors, cornmeal dust, compact workspaces, hot equipment surfaces, sharp edges, and moving machinery.
Physical demands
This role requires frequent walking, carrying, climbing, bending, reaching, and steady use of the hands. Drivers must move between the store, the vehicle, and customer locations while carrying pizzas and beverages. Deliveries may require climbing more than 5 flights of stairs.
Other tasks can include repeated bending at the waist at the assembly station, stocking ingredients, cleaning low areas, reaching above shoulder level for controls or shelf items, handling pizza tools and boxes, and using both hands continuously during the day. The role also requires talking and hearing over the phone, depth perception, near and mid-range vision for store work, the ability to distinguish hot from cold surfaces, and far/night vision for driving.
Additional information
This position is with an independently owned and operated franchise store. Employment decisions such as hiring, scheduling, pay, supervision, discipline, and benefits are managed by the franchise owner, not by the corporate brand. Applications for this role are handled by the franchisee, and if hired, the franchisee is the only employer.
The company emphasizes honesty, transparency, accountability, safety, stability, and inclusion, and states that it values the diverse strengths of its team members.
