Customer Assistant - Carrickmacross

Overview

Enthusiastic about customer service, energetic, and eager to learn on the job? This role could offer you an opportunity to earn €450 or more weekly on a standard 30-hour weekly schedule.

The position involves working varied shifts, performing diverse duties, and collaborating with different colleagues across the store.

Typical Workday

Retail environments don't have a typical day, but here’s what you can expect:

• Morning shift: Beginning at 5am or 6am with your team, you'll prepare our acclaimed products and bakery items to be fully stocked and fresh for customers at opening.
• Middle shift: Starting mid-morning or early afternoon, you’ll ensure the store remains spotless and well-stocked while assisting customers and managing checkout queues efficiently.
• Late shift: Starting in the afternoon, your focus will be delivering excellent service at the till, replenishing stock, and preparing the store for the following day.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with customers in a friendly, courteous, and helpful way.
• Follow procedures to control and minimize stock loss throughout the store.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene both inside and outside the store.
• Apply principles of product freshness and rotation.
• Properly manage all waste disposal processes.
• Support the counting of stock during inventory checks.

Candidate Requirements

• Positive, proactive attitude paired with excellent customer service abilities.
• Willingness to go above and beyond for customers.
• Responsible, reliable, and able to thrive in a fast-moving, dynamic work atmosphere.
• Effective team player.
• Minimum 18 years of age due to the sale of alcohol in-store.
• Previous experience in customer-facing roles is advantageous but not mandatory if the right mindset is demonstrated.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Details by Year

• Year 1: Basic €15.40/hr; €19.25/hr unsocial hours; €23.10/hr overtime/Sundays; €30.80/hr bank holidays.
• Year 2: Basic €16.20/hr; €20.25/hr unsocial hours; €24.30/hr overtime/Sundays; €32.40/hr bank holidays.
• Year 3: Basic €16.90/hr; €21.13/hr unsocial hours; €25.35/hr overtime/Sundays; €33.80/hr bank holidays.
• Year 4: Basic €17.90/hr; €22.38/hr unsocial hours; €26.85/hr overtime/Sundays; €35.80/hr bank holidays.
