Crane DC Electrician - Vizag

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Crane DC Electrician to handle electrical maintenance and repairs specifically for cranes and other heavy commercial vehicles in Visakhapatnam. This role involves diagnosing and resolving electrical issues in various vehicle systems, ensuring safety and reliability in fleet operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to and fix electrical faults in vehicles promptly.
• Diagnose and repair issues related to batteries, starter motors, and alternators.
• Inspect and mend wiring harnesses, cables, connectors, and terminals in vehicles.
• Locate and correct electrical faults such as shorts, opens, and grounding problems.
• Test and replace electrical components including relays, fuses, switches, sensors, and breakers.
• Maintain and repair vehicle lighting systems including headlights, tail lights, indicators, brake lights, reverse lights, and warning lights.
• Troubleshoot additional electrical accessories like horns, wipers, and cabin lights.
• Carry out battery evaluations, charging system inspections, and maintain battery terminals.
• Analyze and troubleshoot starting and cranking electrical issues.
• Interpret electrical wiring and circuit diagrams relevant to vehicle systems.
• Utilize digital multimeters and diagnostic tools for identifying electrical failures.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems to avoid potential breakdowns.
• Inspect trucks, trailers, tankers, and heavy commercial vehicles for electrical faults.
• Execute component replacements, wiring repairs, and cable terminations accurately.
• Keep detailed records of all electrical repairs, breakdowns, and parts replacements.
• Ensure compliance with electrical and workshop safety standards before vehicle release.
• Collaborate effectively with mechanics and maintenance teams during troubleshooting and repairs.

Candidate Profile

• Hands-on experience as a Commercial Vehicle Service Technician with a focus on electrical systems.
• Proficient Automobile Electrician skilled in batteries, starters, alternators, wiring, relays, sensors, and lighting systems.
• Experience with modern heavy-duty vehicles such as Volvo, Scania, MAN, or BharatBenz is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Indian commercial vehicle brands like Tata, Ashok Leyland, and Eicher in electrical troubleshooting is preferred.
• Candidates with background in electrical maintenance for mobile heavy equipment are also welcome.
• Minimum of 3 to 10 years’ experience in crane electrical maintenance, especially with brands like XCMG, SANY, Liebherr, Demag, Tadano, or similar manufacturers is highly desirable.
