Overview
An international construction consultancy expanding across Europe seeks intermediate to senior Cost Managers. The positions involve a balance of office work and on-site visits. Projects cover commercial, residential, healthcare, and educational sectors across multiple Irish locations, including Cork, Waterford, and Dublin.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of projects secured by the firm, with a progression path toward managing entire projects and client relations in the near term.
- Drive improvement and development of the service delivery methodologies, systems, and tools.
- Conduct comprehensive research, gather data, and perform benchmarking studies.
- Prepare cost estimates and cost plans accurately.
- Develop and update tender lists and procurement documentation.
- Produce detailed bills of quantities and conduct precise construction measurements.
- Review and analyze tender submissions thoroughly.
- Compose tender evaluation reports.
- Handle variation orders and manage change control procedures effectively.
- Negotiate on complex financial matters involving significant sums.
- Perform cost control checks and interim valuations diligently.
- Draft monthly progress and financial reports.
- Analyze data to finalize project accounts.
- Prepare detailed written reports for clients.
- Engage in construction dispute resolution where necessary.
- Oversee internal quality assurance controls.
- Manage resource allocation efficiently and foster a collaborative, motivated quantity surveying team.
