Job description

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Community Manager to oversee and engage with an extensive audience exceeding two million followers across our social media platforms as well as manage a private, invite-only membership community for wedding industry professionals. Success in this role will be measured by the quality and effectiveness of audience engagement leading to conversions rather than just community size.

About Wedded Wonderland

Wedded Wonderland serves as a hub for the wedding and luxury lifestyle market, comprising two distinct groups: wedding professionals such as planners, photographers, and designers within a private membership, and consumers including engaged couples accessing various consumer-focused products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and engage communities across all Wedded Wonderland social accounts, handling comments, direct messages, story replies, shares, and mentions with responsiveness standards and brand-appropriate tone.
  • Manage the private membership community’s daily operations, encouraging active discussions, responding to members, promoting engagement, managing onboarding, retention, and reactivating dormant members.
  • Support events and masterclasses by managing promotion, RSVPs, reminders, hosting on the day, and distributing event replays, maintaining high attendance rates.
  • Establish and enforce community guidelines to maintain a professional, respectful, and luxury-focused environment, addressing disputes, spam, and marketing self-promotion discreetly.
  • Drive conversion from community interactions to commercial outcomes across all product lines, including consumer inquiries and professional engagements, establishing processes such as saved replies, DM flows, and lead captures.
  • Create light marketing assets including member spotlights, testimonials, event promotions, and short-form content independently.
  • Use tools such as Circle, GoHighLevel, Metricool, Canva, Zoho CRM, and AI software to manage engagement volumes while maintaining a human touch.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Track and report on community-driven inquiries, bookings, conversions, and engagement metrics.
  • Monitor key performance indicators like response times, DM-to-enquiry conversion rates, and content effectiveness in driving commercial outcomes.
  • Provide monthly reports on private community health including growth, activity, retention, and event participation.
  • Communicate insights to content, paid media, and product teams to inform strategic decisions.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum of three years managing sizable social media and private online communities using platforms such as Circle, Skool, Kajabi, Mighty Networks, or Discourse, with demonstrated performance improvements.
  • Proven track record of generating measurable commercial results from community engagement activities.
  • Skilled in managing emotional B2C conversations with sensitivity and promptness, maintaining brand voice and authenticity.
  • Experience facilitating live community events including promotions and follow-ups.
  • Exceptional written communication skills suitable for representing a high-end brand across diverse audiences without supervision.
  • Strong judgment to handle conflicts, complaints, and moderation challenges independently.
  • Availability with work hours overlapping Sydney business hours.

Preferred Skills

  • Background in wedding, events, hospitality, travel, or luxury sectors.
  • Specific experience with Circle platform features including member administration, gamification, and paid content management.
  • Management of subscription-based communities with attention to churn impact.
  • Expertise in social selling and direct message conversion techniques, including the use of automated replies and lead management.
  • Proficiency in content creation tools like Canva and short video editing.
  • Email marketing and newsletter composition experience.
  • Utilization of AI tools for content drafting, summarization, triage, and scheduling at scale.

Interview Requirement

Candidates will need to present one community they have grown along with a commercial achievement derived from their management, including engagement metrics and revenue generation, supported by relevant analytics screenshots.
