Commis 2 - Bakery at Ajman Saray, a Luxury Collection Resort

Position Overview

Join Ajman Saray, a Luxury Collection Resort, as a Commis 2 in our bakery department located in Ajman, United Arab Emirates. In this full-time non-management role, you will be entrusted with preparing and baking food items according to standardized recipes and quality expectations, while maintaining cleanliness and safety in the kitchen.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake food following recipes, presentation, and quality standards, while adhering to checklist procedures.
• Handle ingredient preparation such as portioning, chopping, and proper food storage before cooking.
• Operate baking and measuring tools, equipment, and appliances safely and effectively.
• Comply strictly with food safety, personal hygiene, and sanitation policies and procedures.
• Monitor kitchen appliance and food temperatures, reporting any concerns to management promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness by washing and disinfecting kitchen areas, setting up and breaking down workstations, and following cleaning protocols.
• Ensure quality control of cooked food and portion sizes throughout the shift.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures including safety, security, and uniform standards.
• Maintain professional communication, both verbal and on telephone calls, and uphold confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Develop and support positive team relationships to achieve common objectives.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, moving objects up to 25 pounds, and working in various postures and surfaces as required.
• Carry out additional reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• Up to one year of relevant work experience preferred.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No certifications or licenses necessary.
