Program Overview

RWE Supply & Trading Asia-Pacific Pte. Ltd. is inviting applications for its two-year Commercial Graduate Programme commencing in September 2027 in Singapore. This immersive program features four six-month rotations that offer extensive exposure across vital business functions within the energy trading sector.

The program begins with an initial rotation based in Singapore, followed by the possibility to undertake additional rotations across the Asia-Pacific region or global offices including Germany, the USA, and the UK. Graduates completing the program will be well-equipped to pursue permanent roles within RWE’s worldwide corporate divisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage in proprietary trading of diverse energy commodities such as power, coal, gas, oil, LNG, metals, and carbon credits.
• Participate in freight trading and shipping operations.
• Optimize commercial assets to maximize operational efficiency.
• Contribute to sales and origination activities.
• Conduct commercial analysis supporting business decisions.
• Support analytical functions including structuring and valuation, risk management, and data science initiatives.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a degree (BSc, MSc, or PhD) in analytical and quantitative disciplines such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Maritime Studies, Economics, or Data Science.
• Demonstrate excellent English communication skills; knowledge of an Asian language is an advantage.
• Exhibit strong IT proficiency; programming skills in Python or similar languages are beneficial.
• Show a proactive, curious attitude with a strong commitment to ownership and integrity in work.
• Have commercial acumen and an entrepreneurial approach.
• Be familiar with AI tools and responsible use policies aligning with RWE’s guidelines.
• Be adaptable and open to relocation within teams or internationally, embracing diversity and inclusiveness.
