Role Overview

The Collision Estimator plays a critical role in delivering precise and reliable damage assessments for customers and insurance partners. This position ensures the repair process is transparent and efficient while collaborating with both internal teams and external parties.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce accurate and prompt repair estimates utilizing industry-standard estimating software.
• Provide professional guidance to customers throughout the repair journey.
• Coordinate effectively with technicians, production staff, and insurance representatives to facilitate a seamless repair workflow.
• Keep updated with contemporary vehicle repair techniques, technology innovations, especially for EVs, hybrids, and vehicles equipped with advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and modern materials.
• Assess and plan repairs in accordance with OEM standards, including identifying necessary high-voltage safety steps and EV-specific procedures.
• Maintain a high standard of quality, safety, and operational excellence in repair planning.
• Contribute positively to a collaborative and high-performing shop environment.

Qualifications and Experience

• At least two years of experience in collision estimating.
• Strong knowledge of automotive mechanics and repair operations.
• Understanding of insurance claim processes, guidelines, and industry norms.
• Proficiency in using estimating software such as Mitchell or Audatex.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• A dedication to ongoing professional learning and growth.
• References from past employers reflecting professional competence.

• Competitive salary range between 55,000 CAD and 85,000 CAD annually.
