Collection Manager - Used Cars

About the Role

The Collection Manager – Rural is responsible for overseeing the collections department's activities within an assigned territory, focusing on maximizing EMI recovery from customers and ensuring compliance with bank policies. This role involves managing both internal teams and external agencies associated with the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and execute collection processes for assigned debt portfolios.
• Continuously monitor specific portfolio segments to track collections status.
• Control and reduce delinquency across various buckets and Days Past Due (DPD), with particular attention to new defaulters.
• Distribute targets effectively between agencies and in-house teams and ensure their achievement.
• Engage routinely with customers who have defaulted to recover dues.
• Ensure all collection activities adhere strictly to legal guidelines and internal policies.
• Locate and initiate collection procedures for absconded customers.
• Advise on legal proceedings for irrecoverable accounts and coordinate with the legal department to close cases.
• Maintain detailed administrative records concerning collections, including delinquency histories, MIS reports, and feedback, on daily, weekly, and monthly intervals.

Qualifications and Experience

• Graduate or postgraduate degree in any discipline.
• Relevant experience in collections management.

• Excellent communication and persistent follow-up skills.
• Knowledge of legal frameworks related to debt recovery.
