Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain clinical data integrations among various healthcare systems.
- Apply healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, CCD, CCR) and incorporate claims data.
- Utilize standardized medical coding systems including LOINC, ICD9/10, CPT4, and SNOMED in data processes.
- Support enterprise data warehouse (EDW) development and upkeep of related databases.
- Design automated solutions and proactively propose improvements to current processes.
- Create new databases and related procedures as needed to support operational needs.
- Generate data analytics reports tailored to project requirements.
- Develop validation reports to ensure data accuracy and quality.
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation detailing data processes and integrations.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and clients to design innovative data solutions.
- Apply best practices in database management and data quality to achieve efficient results.
- Stay current on healthcare data standards, quality measures, coding systems, privacy policies, and legal obligations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in data analytics, public health, or related discipline preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
- Proficient in SQL, including data transformations, stored procedures, and query development.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and best practices.
- Strong analytical aptitude and experience managing change in project environments.
- Ability to meet project deadlines and manage deliverables independently.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with diverse personnel levels.
- Organized, adaptable, self-motivated, and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks effectively.
- Experienced with Microsoft Office suite and Microsoft operating systems.
- Capable of working autonomously with a high degree of accountability.
- Skilled in technical and business writing.
- Experience with Snowflake cloud database technology.
- Programming experience in Python, JavaScript, and/or C#; familiarity with REST API usage.
- Knowledge of health improvement initiatives including IHI triple aim, clinical quality improvement, and primary care workflows.
- Willingness to participate in educational events such as conferences and workshops.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
