What the role involves

You will be responsible for keeping every part of the pub clean to a high standard so guests enjoy a pleasant experience throughout their visit. The working pattern can include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and late finishes, reflecting the pub’s extended opening hours.

Key duties

• Keep customer areas, toilets, the bar, kitchen, staff spaces, and outdoor areas clean and tidy.
• Carry out daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks in line with the required procedures.
• Use cleaning products and equipment safely and according to the correct process.
• Track cleaning stock levels and inform the manager when supplies need replenishing.
• Report maintenance concerns and any pest-control issues to the manager on duty.
• Interact courteously with customers by greeting them and saying thank you and goodbye.
• Complete induction, job-specific, and refresher training, while also helping improve working practices.
