Role overview

Located in Hautapu, this position is for a dependable team player to join a high-performing transport crew moving insulated glass units throughout the North Island. The role suits someone who enjoys working around trucks and the wider transport sector, and who takes pride in making sure every item reaches its destination in excellent condition.

What the job involves

You will be responsible for preparing, poling, loading, and unloading loose glass and trolleys. Because the work includes handling heavy and fragile materials, a reasonable level of physical fitness is needed. The driving team represents the business directly and operates a modern, purpose-built fleet designed specifically for moving glass products to customers and manufacturers across New Zealand.

Working conditions and pay structure

• A guaranteed minimum of 40 hours each week.
• Any hours worked beyond the minimum will be paid separately in addition to the base hours.

What the employer is looking for

The ideal candidate will have a full, clean Class 4 licence, along with an F endorsement and proven experience using it. You should have a strong work ethic, be comfortable working independently, and bring excellent customer service skills. Careful handling is essential because the load is fragile, so strong attention to detail, safe loading and unloading practices, and very high safety standards are all important. Experience with curtain-side and flat-deck vehicles is also required.
