Overview

Joining Walmart Canada as a Cashier offers a valuable opportunity to hone retail and customer service skills. In this role, you will ensure customers have a positive checkout experience, help foster loyalty, and carefully monitor and protect company assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome customers with politeness and friendliness.
• Efficiently handle purchase transactions, including deactivating merchandise to comply with electronic article surveillance (EAS) procedures.
• Inform customers about Walmart-supported programs such as credit card services, product protections, and charitable causes.
• Assist shoppers by packing and loading their purchases.
• Follow safe work practices including proper lifting techniques and maintaining a tidy workspace.
• Secure the cash register by managing cash carefully, adhering to company policies, and staying aware of the surroundings.
• Direct customers to the Customer Service Manager for additional support or queries as necessary.

Additional Information

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement: 16 years or older.
• Preferred candidates may have prior retail or customer service experience (not mandatory).
