Job Overview
Join Aramark Canada as a Cashier where being outstanding goes beyond a title. We seek team members who delight in welcoming guests, managing operations efficiently, and ensuring smooth transactions. This role involves handling payments accurately, balancing cash drawers, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently operate cash registers and POS systems handling cash and credit card payments.
- Warmly greet customers and proactively assist them, anticipating their needs.
- Count and organize cash in the drawer, prepare cashier slips, and make deposits.
- Follow Aramark's cash handling policies and procedures consistently.
- Maintain knowledge of available merchandise to support customers and process sales accurately.
- Perform opening and closing duties according to store hours.
- Keep the workspace clean and sanitary during and after shifts.
- Restock inventory to appropriate levels throughout the shift as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all safety policies and protocols.
Candidate Qualifications
- Customer service experience is preferred for this role.
- Previous experience handling cash transactions is an advantage.
- Basic mathematical and counting skills are essential.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Completion of Food Handler and Alcohol Service training as required by location.
Additional Information
The position may involve physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended standing or walking. Wearing uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE) may also be necessary.
