We are currently inviting applicants for a career changer position as a Specialist for Construction Site Safety (m/f/d) at DB Fahrwegdienste GmbH, with workplaces in locations including Ahrensburg, Altenholz, Ascheberg (Holstein), Aumühle, Bad Bramstedt, Bad Oldesloe, Bad Schwartau, Bad Segeberg, Bargfeld-Stegen, Bargstedt, Bargteheide, Barkenholm, Barmstedt, Barsbüttel, Bönningstedt, Boostedt, Bordesholm, Brodersdorf, Burg (Dithmarschen), Ellerbek, Elmshorn, Eutin, Flintbek, Friedrichsholm, Geesthacht, Glückstadt, Großenaspe, Halstenbek, Heiligenhafen, Henstedt-Ulzburg, Hohenlockstedt, Hohenwestedt, Itzehoe, Kaltenkirchen, Kiel, and Neumünster.
Retraining Program
- You will gradually learn all essential skills for this profession over roughly one year.
- The training combines theoretical lessons with practical exercises to give you hands-on experience.
- Experienced colleagues will support you to ensure a smooth introduction, even if this is your first time in this field.
- Theoretical courses are provided as close as possible to your residence, while practical assignments usually happen within your forthcoming area of deployment.

Key Responsibilities After Retraining
- Collaborate to ensure safety at railway track construction sites, preventing harm.
- Warn personnel in track areas of approaching trains using various signals and modern warning systems.
- Enforce safety protocols and train newly appointed safety personnel.
- Communicate with multiple stakeholders to maintain smooth operations.
- Independently organize and monitor safety measures on construction sites.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum age of 18 years and possession of at least a secondary school certificate.
- No prior special experience required; reliability and commitment to safety are essential.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Proficient in written and spoken German communication.
- Flexibility to work night or weekend shifts and adapt to varying assignment locations.
- Possession of a class B driving license and own vehicle is desirable but not mandatory.
Applications from already qualified Specialists in Construction Site Safety, safety personnel, and safety supervisors are also welcome.
