Position & Locations
We are seeking career changers to become specialists in construction site safety (m/f/d) at DB Fahrwegdienste GmbH at locations including Ahrensburg, Altenholz, Ascheberg (Holstein), Aumühle, Bad Bramstedt, Bad Oldesloe, Bad Schwartau, Bad Segeberg, Bargfeld-Stegen, Bargstedt, Bargteheide, Barkenholm, Barmstedt, Barsbüttel, Bönningstedt, Boostedt, Bordesholm, Brodersdorf, Burg (Dithmarschen), Ellerbek, Elmshorn, Eutin, Flintbek, Friedrichsholm, Geesthacht, Glückstadt, Großenaspe, Halstenbek, Heiligenhafen, Henstedt-Ulzburg, Hohenlockstedt, Hohenwestedt, Itzehoe, Kaltenkirchen, Kiel, and Neumünster.
Retraining Program
- You will progressively learn the required skills throughout approximately one year.
- The retraining alternates between theoretical instruction and practical experience to facilitate hands-on learning.
- You will be accompanied by experienced colleagues to support your entry, even if you're new to the field.
- Theoretical lessons are arranged close to your residence wherever possible, with practical assignments primarily in your future work region.
- You will earn a secure salary from the outset of your retraining.
Responsibilities After Retraining
- Ensure that no one is harmed on railway construction sites by coordinating safety measures within the team.
- Warn personnel in the track area of approaching trains using various signals and modern warning systems.
- Implement safety regulations and instruct newly assigned safety staff members.
- Maintain communication with different contacts to ensure smooth workflow.
- Organize and supervise safety measures at construction sites independently.
Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 years and a secondary school certificate (Hauptschulabschluss).
- No prior specific experience is required; however, you must be committed to maintaining safety and demonstrate reliability.
- Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills in German.
- Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, and varying locations.
- Driver's license class B and a personal vehicle are desirable but not mandatory.
