Role Overview

We are seeking an inspirational Care Centre Manager to lead and develop a dynamic team of nurses and caregivers in our brand-new Prebbleton Care Centre. This full-time, Monday to Friday role (8am to 5pm) includes occasional on-call duties covering weekends and nights. Reporting to the Village Manager, you will oversee daily operations and provide strategic leadership to ensure excellent clinical care and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain full responsibility for staffing, budgeting, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead and coach the team focusing on recruitment, professional development, and employee recognition.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with residents, their families, and other stakeholders, serving as their primary contact in sensitive scenarios.
• Support clinical decision-making to uphold high-quality care standards.
• Manage audits, policy enforcement, and collaborate with external bodies such as NASC and Te Whatu Ora.
• Foster a positive, connected team culture throughout the village community.

Candidate Requirements

Applicants should have solid clinical experience within the aged care sector in New Zealand, including familiarity with Te Whatu Ora standards. Proven leadership skills, empathy, and the ability to thrive in a fast-evolving setting are essential. You must be adept at balancing operational and people management responsibilities and passionate about delivering quality outcomes for residents.
