Role Overview
We seek a meticulous and highly organised Capital Governance Coordinator to strengthen our Finance team. In this role, you will ensure capital governance processes operate smoothly, are consistent, and timely, serving as the operational core of governance activities across Watercare's extensive capital project portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate governance activities related to business cases, approvals, and change requests.
- Manage schedules, workflows, and approval pathways for governance submissions.
- Support governance meetings through preparing agendas, collating documents, taking minutes, and tracking actions.
- Maintain governance records, decision registers, and approval documents accurately and audit-ready.
- Monitor timelines and liaise with stakeholders to ensure compliance with deadlines.
- Assist with business case documentation and submission coordination.
- Administer change control procedures and keep approval records up-to-date.
- Act as a central coordination point for governance functions across multiple programmes.
- Identify and implement improvements in governance processes, templates, and tracking systems.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience in project coordination, governance support, or administration within complex organisational structures.
- Excellent organisational skills capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
- Experience coordinating activities among diverse stakeholder groups.
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to adhere to structured processes and recommend improvements.
- Comfortable using technology, workflow platforms, and document management tools such as Aconex or equivalents.
Experience in infrastructure, utilities, capital programmes, or governance contexts will be an advantage.
