About the Role
Join us in shaping the digital future readiness of the Bundeswehr as a Capacity Manager. Your role focuses on managing demands for data center resources and supporting tools used in capacity management, ensuring data quality and reporting for strategic IT operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and process requests for data center capacity needs.
- Contribute to maintaining and enhancing the tool used for these capacity recordings.
- Analyze projected resource demands over time.
- Operate tools and interfaces related to capacity management processes.
- Monitor data deliveries and integrations from source systems.
- Prepare, consolidate, and refine data primarily using scripts, continuously optimizing and monitoring script performance and data quality.
- Develop specifications for interfaces, data models, and procedural workflows.
- Create and maintain audience-specific reports and visualizations within BI tools concerning capacities, resource usage, and forecasts.
Candidate Profile
- Completed vocational training or degree in IT or a related field combined with extensive professional experience in complex IT environments.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in IT service management or operational roles within an IT service or delivery organization.
- Proficient knowledge of ITIL frameworks, especially capacity management.
- Experience with reporting tools such as MicroStrategy and data analytics; ideally familiar with ITSM software.
- Practical skills in IT system operations including server and database administration, programming in Python and MS SQL, as well as experience with Confluence, data modeling, and reporting.
- Self-driven with a results-oriented approach, coupled with excellent communication and analytical capabilities.
- Fluency in German and good command of English.
