Business Intelligence Analyst (Excel)

Position Overview

We are seeking a contract Business Intelligence Consultant to work remotely, focusing on leveraging advanced Excel capabilities to support AI model training through insightful data analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize expert-level Excel skills to organize, assess, and present data pertinent to AI training objectives.
• Engage with client teams to deliver meaningful business intelligence insights and solutions.
• Prepare, cleanse, and verify extensive datasets to uphold data integrity for AI system applications.
• Document and develop BI processes clearly, employing effective verbal and written communication.
• Convert business inquiries into concrete data insights that drive model enhancements.
• Design comprehensive Excel reports, dashboards, and visual visualizations aimed at supporting AI training activities.

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrated professional experience in business intelligence or data analytics with a focus on Excel functionalities.
• Advanced mastery of Excel tools including Power Query, PivotTables, VBA macros, and data modeling techniques.
• Strong communication skills to effectively explain complex data analyses to varied audiences.
• Capability to operate autonomously in a remote setting while efficiently managing tasks and deadlines.
• Thorough understanding of business workflows and ability to translate business needs into technical implementations.
• Proficient in data preparation, cleaning, and validation for analytics or AI model training purposes.

Additional Information

Contract Details: Flexible commitment from 10 to 40 hours per week.
Compensation: $40 to $50 USD per hour, depending on expertise and experience.
Work Location: Fully remote role based in Costa Rica or other locations.
