Role overview
The Transportation Ecommerce Operations team manages relationships with courier partners and oversees day-to-day ecommerce last-mile execution, replenishment support, and transportation activities that rely on small-parcel courier services. The group develops, reviews, and improves operating procedures, while also strengthening courier capacity to support a dependable delivery network and a better customer experience.
This role sits within a team that supports multiple enterprise initiatives across the business, including ecommerce programs, a courier center of excellence, and ongoing improvements in network capacity, coverage, service quality, and cost efficiency.
The organization is seeking a self-driven and innovative Business Analyst to help deliver process improvement work, provide analytical insight, and support decisions that improve capacity, service levels, and costs.
Key work
- Support and lead data migration efforts, including moves from SQL Server into enterprise data warehouses such as IHUB, with a focus on scalable and analysis-ready data structures.
- Build and maintain data integration pipelines across different environments and sources, including SQL Server, Oracle, IHUB, enterprise data warehouses, and Snowflake.
- Improve data access across platforms while protecting data quality, governance, and consistency.
- Create and maintain dashboards and reporting outputs using Power BI, ThoughtSpot, and Tableau.
- Apply Agile project management methods to guide analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation work tied to strategic goals.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders as a liaison and change agent, helping improve efficiency and decision-making.
- Work with ecommerce and supply chain teams across the organization to design strategic processes and solutions.
- Convert large datasets into actionable information and insights.
- Map existing processes, evaluate alternate approaches, build simulation models, and develop stronger operating methods with stakeholders.
- Meet strict timelines for implementation and solution design deliverables.
- Help create and maintain process documentation that supports due diligence and compliance.
- Support change initiatives as a subject-matter resource and change agent.
- Take part in key decisions during RFX processes.
- Facilitate recurring business reviews and brainstorming sessions.
What the employer is looking for
The ideal candidate holds a university degree in a relevant area such as Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or Applied Mathematics. They should bring experience in data analytics, data engineering, or data science, along with strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
Additional strengths include project and change management capability, excellent written and spoken communication, and solid presentation skills. Advanced proficiency with standard desktop tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project, and Visio is expected.
The role also calls for experience acting as a liaison among multiple stakeholders, transportation business knowledge, and a background in supply chain project or analytical work with 2 to 4 years of experience. Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project management, reporting and visualization tools, financial understanding, courier/carrier operations, and ecommerce or last-mile/home-delivery environments is preferred.
Compensation and benefits
The expected hiring range for this position is $53,000 to $88,000 per year. Final pay will depend on factors such as experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, market location, industry benchmarks, internal equity, and other role-specific needs.
