Job Overview

The selected technician will support engineers in conducting maintenance for airframe and engines on Air Arabia and third-party aircraft. Responsibilities include assisting with inspections, defect repairs, component changes, and ensuring aircraft remain operational and safe. Work must be done adhering strictly to technical standards, company protocols, and aviation regulations, with accurate and timely documentation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the Engineer-in-Charge to understand task requirements, priorities, and documentation procedures prior to commencing work.
• Execute scheduled maintenance tasks per assigned task cards, ensuring proper procurement and use of documentation, parts, tools, and ground support equipment.
• Perform thorough aircraft testing and inspections to identify and document defects or damage in compliance with approved procedures.
• Carry out repairs, part replacements, and relevant testing strictly following approved guidelines and instructions from the Engineer-in-Charge.
• Manage correct acquisition and return of tooling and equipment from stores, maintaining their condition post-use.
• Provide regular updates on task progress and promptly report any concerns regarding aircraft status or task execution to the Engineer-in-Charge.
• Maintain high standards of workplace cleanliness and organization throughout all activities.
• Adhere to all mandatory safety precautions before and during maintenance tasks to prevent injury.
• Ensure personal and team safety by proper use of ground support equipment and protective gear.
• Consider human factors during maintenance to guarantee proper work interruption procedures and adequate maintenance access and lighting.
• Offer supportive communication and assistance to team members and other departments during maintenance checks.
• Represent Air Arabia professionally by conveying a skilled, positive technical image to external company personnel and customers.
• Demonstrate cost-consciousness during aircraft maintenance by efficiently using time and materials and avoiding waste, part damage, or redundant work.

Qualifications and Skills

• Certified and experienced Civil Aircraft Maintenance Technician.
• Proficient English communication skills including reading, writing, speaking, and understanding technical materials.
• Competent in using computers, particularly Microsoft Office applications.
• Capability to obtain a UAE Driver’s License.

Work Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience on large commercial aircraft, preferably Airbus models.
• At least 2 years working in Line or Base Maintenance settings.
• Solid foundational knowledge of airframe and engine maintenance theories and procedures.
