Opportunity Overview

We are looking for an Associate to join our New York Private Equity team. This role offers hands-on involvement throughout the entire investment process. It is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, analytically adept professional to gain substantial transactional experience, work closely with senior deal leaders, and contribute directly to sourcing, due diligence, and portfolio value enhancement initiatives. You will collaborate with Vice Presidents and Principals, helping to create the analytical foundation of current deals and support strategic decision-making within the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and update comprehensive financial and LBO models to assist with valuation, return analysis, and sensitivity testing on ongoing transactions.
• Carry out thorough due diligence including market research, competitor assessments, and coordinating external consultants and teams.
• Aid origination efforts through sector research, target screening, and relationship development with intermediaries and management teams.
• Prepare investment committee presentations by distilling complex analyses into clear, substantiated investment recommendations.
• Support monitoring of portfolio companies by tracking performance versus objectives and contribute to value-creation and strategic projects.

Candidate Profile

• Possess 2 to 4 years of relevant experience, typically in investment banking, private equity, management consulting, or a related discipline.
• Strong expertise in financial modeling, including leveraged buyout models, valuation techniques, and detailed analytical skills.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects under strict deadlines in a dynamic deal-making environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to engage effectively with senior internal stakeholders and external parties.
• Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or related fields.
