Job Overview

The role focuses on procuring finished goods specifically for the Fans business division, ensuring timely availability of quality materials in adequate quantity and at competitive costs to meet both production and business demands.

Key Responsibilities

• Calculate procurement requirements based on Sales & Operations Forecast Plan (SFOP) and place timely purchase calls to vendors.
• Ensure procured materials meet quality standards and are delivered in the right quantity and on schedule.
• Visit vendors when necessary to ensure compliance and performance.
• Maintain and generate Management Information System (MIS) data related to procurement activities.
• Manage vendor lifecycle including creation, amendments, and closure of Purchase Orders (POs).
• Develop strategic partnerships with vendors to enhance capacity and quality through continuous improvement initiatives such as CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).
• Review contracts and provide vendors with specifications, drawings, and schedules.
• Support vendor investments in tooling including patterns and jigs and conduct Supplier Quality Performance (SQP) audits on critical vendors.
• Evaluate and rate vendors regularly ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
• Identify and develop new vendors to enhance multi-sourcing capabilities and improve quality.
• Handle vendor registration, sample approvals, and rationalize the vendor base.
• Support New Product Development by scouting and establishing vendor base, estimating tentative costs with the design team, and accelerating cost-effective product launches.
• Negotiate final rates and secure approvals for contracts and POs.
• Drive cost-reduction initiatives and provide rate estimates for marketing inputs during quotations.
• Procure spare parts and integrated materials to ensure uninterrupted spares availability, including negotiating rates for integrated parts.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in sourcing or procurement, preferably in finished goods.

Required Skills

• Strong negotiation capabilities.
• In-depth knowledge of costing and materials management.
• Experience with SAP procurement modules.
• Ability to manage and develop vendor relationships.
• Team development and leadership skills.
