Role Overview
We are in search of a seasoned Accounts Payable (AP) Accountant to comprehensively manage our accounts payable process, ensuring precise invoice handling, payment execution, reconciliation of vendor accounts, and contributing actively to month-end financial closures. This position demands strict adherence to internal controls and tax regulations in collaboration with procurement, project management, and treasury departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete accounts payable process from invoice receipt to payment completion, ensuring accuracy and timely transaction processing.
- Perform reconciliation of supplier and vendor accounts, promptly identify and address discrepancies, and eliminate outstanding items.
- Assist with month-end accounting procedures including accrual computations, detailed AP reports, and thorough account analyses.
- Maintain adherence to corporate policies, internal audit standards, and VAT and other tax obligations.
- Collaborate closely with procurement, projects, and treasury teams to guarantee payment accuracy and scheduling compliance.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possession of a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar discipline.
- Between three to seven years of direct experience managing accounts payable functions.
- Proficient with ERP software such as Dynamics 365 and SAP, alongside advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities.
- Firm grasp of accounting principles, internal control frameworks, and VAT legislation.
- Experience within a publicly listed company environment is advantageous.
- Background in manufacturing or facilities management sectors preferred.
- Competence in handling high-volume payments within project-driven settings.
