Role Overview

This full-time, on-site Accountant position based in Doha, Qatar involves overseeing daily financial tasks such as recording transactions, maintaining general ledger accounts, and compiling regular financial reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual). Core duties include managing both accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, monitoring cash flows, and assisting in budgeting and financial forecasting.

The Accountant will follow up on outstanding invoices, verify and allocate incoming payments, resolve billing issues, and foster strong customer relationships to ensure prompt collections. Additionally, this role entails collecting payments via sending payment links, managing bank transfers, and ensuring accurate recording and reconciliation of all customer payments.

Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and local regulations, supporting audits, and preparing financial reports for management are essential components. Close collaboration with operations and management teams aims to enhance financial insight, streamline processes, and contribute to sound business decisions and expansion.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency in financial accounting and reporting, including general ledger oversight and financial statement preparation.
• Experience managing accounts payable and receivable services such as invoicing, payment handling, and collection tracking.
• Familiarity with bank reconciliation, monitoring cash flow, and foundational budgeting and forecasting abilities.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail accuracy in handling numerical data.
• Competence with accounting software and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel to generate and analyze financial documents.
• Effective communication abilities, both written and verbal, capable of working collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related disciplines; professional certifications like ACCA or CPA are advantageous.
• Previous experience in logistics, transportation, or service sectors within Qatar or the GCC region is highly desirable.
• Must be able to perform work duties on-site in Doha and maintain high levels of confidentiality, ethics, and deadline compliance.
• Prior logistics industry exposure is mandatory.
