YouTube Product Content Manager

About the Role

This position, primarily based in Los Angeles, CA, with an option for the Playa Vista campus, focuses on managing YouTube’s external support content for users and creators worldwide. You will be responsible for developing scalable help content in various formats—written articles, videos, and graphics—to support product launches and ongoing updates. The role involves partnering with Operations to pilot and apply AI-powered content workflows and collaborating with Go-To-Market and Support User Journey teams to enhance content quality and user education at scale.

Responsibilities

• Produce and oversee help content across multiple formats for product releases and continuous enhancement.
• Own and maintain content portfolios and strategy for assigned YouTube Help Center and owned YouTube channels.
• Collaborate with the Operations team to pilot and refine AI-first content creation processes and implement operational improvements.
• Utilize data such as page views, video engagement, and escalation metrics to inform and improve content strategies.
• Maintain strong cross-functional partnerships with Product Activation, Product Management, Marketing, Legal, and Public Relations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• At least four years of experience in public relations, media relations, or executive communications within technology products or services.
• Preferred experience includes stakeholder management and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Experience working in studio or media production settings is beneficial.
• Proficiency with Content Management Systems (CMS) and content production software is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to leverage data for process design and optimization.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities, including advocating for design decisions.

Additional Information

Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records residing in Los Angeles County will be considered pursuant to the county’s Fair Chance Ordinance and California’s Fair Chance Act. Candidates can select their preferred working location among San Bruno, CA; New York, NY; or Los Angeles, CA. Compensation includes a base salary between $116,000 and $167,000 USD, a 15% target bonus, equity, and benefits.
