Job description
Position Overview
Join our team at PlaceMakers in Kapiti Coast as a Yard & Drive Thru Team Member. In this permanent full-time role, you will assist customers by managing product loading and unloading, processing transactions, and maintaining an efficient warehouse environment. This role requires 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with some Saturdays on a rostered basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to customers within the timber yard and Drive Thru areas.
- Load goods onto customers' vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Handle processing of customer orders and manage transactions.
- Pick and prepare orders for delivery as required.
- Conduct inventory monitoring and perform cycle counts.
- Assist with warehouse operations to ensure smooth workflow.
- Operate forklifts according to safety standards.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a full clean Class 1 driver's license; forklift license or equivalent experience preferred.
- Prior experience in warehousing or relevant trade/product knowledge.
- Physically capable and committed to strong health and safety practices.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Basic computer literacy and numeracy skills.
