Warehouse Operative

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Warehouse Operative to join our Melbourne Service team located in Mulgrave, Victoria. Reporting to the Asset & Inventory Manager, this role involves overseeing the movement, storage, and upkeep of equipment and resources in the warehouse environment. This position demands excellent organizational capabilities, a strong focus on safety, and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, fast-moving setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and securely store incoming goods and equipment.
• Prepare and dispatch equipment to satisfy customer needs.
• Safely and efficiently manage loading and unloading local, interstate, and intrastate transport shipments.
• Complete all transport and warehouse paperwork accurately and punctually.
• Ensure systematic handling and storage of all incoming and outgoing products.
• Maintain secure and orderly storage for capital equipment while maximizing warehouse space and presentation.
• Track and pair batteries, chargers, and accessories with relevant equipment.
• Keep stock batteries charged, maintained, and ready for use.
• Contribute to monthly stocktakes and inventory management tasks.
• Handle equipment slated for disposal or scrapping properly.
• Respond promptly to equipment and logistics inquiries, coordinating with internal teams.
• Uphold excellent customer service standards for both internal and external customers.
• Adhere rigorously to company Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety protocols.
• Maintain a safe and compliant warehouse environment at all times.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or related industries is preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management aptitude.
• Positive, energetic mindset focused on achieving results.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Capability to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and operational quality.
• Current Forklift Licence is desirable.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications are also advantageous.
