Job Overview
The waiter role within Majid Al Futtaim Entertainment’s operations team focuses on delivering outstanding food and beverage service to guests, ensuring an exceptional cinema hospitality experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet guests to create a welcoming environment.
- Present menus clearly and help guests with their selections.
- Accurately record food and beverage orders using the POS system.
- Serve meals and drinks promptly and professionally.
- Prepare and maintain table settings before and after service.
- Inform guests about menu details, ingredients, and ongoing promotions.
- Encourage additional orders to boost food and beverage sales.
- Handle guest questions, feedback, and complaints courteously and efficiently.
- Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely and correct order fulfillment.
- Keep the service area tidy and organized at all times.
- Comply with hygiene, health, and safety standards.
- Assist in stock management tasks like rotation, restocking, and inventory checks.
- Support colleagues during high-demand periods or events.
- Follow service policies and standards set by VOX Cinemas and MAF Entertainment.
Candidate Requirements
- At least one year of experience in food and beverage or hospitality; prior cinema or restaurant experience is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with a professional yet friendly demeanor.
- Ability to perform well under pressure in a dynamic guest-facing environment.
- Shift flexibility including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Strict adherence to hygiene, grooming, and uniform codes consistently.
