Position Overview

The Visual Communications Manager (Digital Media Specialist) will oversee the creation of superior video and multimedia materials from conception to final output. This role supports educational sessions, conferences, podcasts, marketing campaigns, and member communications, ensuring each project embodies GSCPA’s dedication to quality and professionalism. The varied workload involves direct-to-camera courses, live and hybrid events, remote and onsite livestreams, interviews, social media content, and more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare studios and event areas for high-quality productions, handling setup and maintenance of lighting, cameras, microphones, teleprompters, and other AV equipment.
  • Operate and troubleshoot professional Canon cameras and live production equipment such as NewTek TriCaster, RØDECaster Video, and Blackmagic ATEM during live events and conferences.
  • Coach presenters and new speakers to ensure confident on-camera delivery.
  • Edit diverse content including educational programs, interviews, podcasts, promotional videos, and social media clips, applying motion graphics, color correction, audio enhancement, and animations.
  • Manage digital media assets efficiently and optimize final products for various digital platforms including learning portals and social channels.
  • Collaborate across departments to develop engaging visual media, propose innovative production ideas, and contribute to the overall member experience.

Requirements

  • 1 to 5 years’ experience in video production, digital media, or broadcasting with hands-on operation of professional cameras and editing software.
