Vice President, Operational Excellence

Position Overview

The Vice President (VP) of Operational Excellence will oversee the strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives within the company's operational systems. This senior leadership role includes developing operational strategies, optimizing processes, enhancing productivity and quality, controlling costs, analyzing data, and fostering collaboration across departments. The goal is to establish a standardized, efficient, and digitalized operational framework that boosts overall performance, lowers expenses, and strengthens the firm's standing in the global jewelry market.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement medium- to long-term operational strategies and development plans focused on operational excellence.
• Create and continually enhance corporate operational management systems, standardized procedures, and execution methods.
• Optimize operational models to elevate organizational capabilities and promote a culture of ongoing improvement.
• Analyze current business processes to uncover inefficiencies and develop solutions to address them.
• Standardize processes across production, supply chain, procurement, sales, and support functions.
• Improve resource allocation to increase operational efficiency and responsiveness.
• Implement a KPI system to monitor and enhance operational performance persistently.
• Coordinate teams involved in production, supply chain, and procurement to boost overall operational efficiency.
• Refine production planning, order delivery, and inventory management procedures.
• Strengthen collaboration within the supply chain to ensure stability and adaptability.
• Reduce operational costs while improving product delivery and market responsiveness.
• Lead the adoption of Total Quality Management systems and set operational quality standards coupled with continuous improvement practices.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks by instituting corrective measures.
• Champion Lean Management and continuous improvement projects.
• Develop data analysis frameworks to monitor key operational metrics and guide data-driven decision-making.
• Create strategies to enhance productivity and profitability through operational improvements and cost structure analyses.
• Foster collaboration across operations, supply chain, production, quality, sales, and finance teams to align with overall company goals.
• Lead execution of cross-departmental initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness and teamwork.
• Promote a culture focused on operational excellence and enhance execution skills within teams.
• Identify operational risks and establish mechanisms to prevent them; ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
• Maintain reliable and efficient operational processes supporting continuous company growth.

Qualifications

• 20 to 25 years of experience in operations management, process optimization, or operational excellence roles.
• At least 8 years in senior leadership positions such as Director or Vice President.
• Preferred experience in the jewelry, luxury goods, manufacturing, or premium consumer goods industries.
• Experience managing global operations or working within international corporate environments is advantageous.
• Proficiency with Lean management, continuous improvement methodologies, and digital operations management systems.
• Strong skills in strategic planning, organizational leadership, data analytics, and cross-functional team coordination.
