Role Overview

We seek a Verification Engineer with expertise in quality assurance and control within the offshore and onshore energy sectors. The role involves leading inspection and certification activities, ensuring technical compliance, and fostering client relationships.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with at least 10 years' experience working with EPC contractors, consultants, or third-party classification bodies.
• Preferred certifications include CSWIP 3.2.2, BGAS Grade 2, ISO 9001 Auditor, and NDT Level II or equivalents.
• Thorough knowledge of welding, coatings, insulation, corrosion control, and inspection standards.
• Offshore safety and training certifications such as BOSIET, H₂S, CA-EBS, plus valid offshore medical fitness are advantageous.
• Experience in QA/QC verification for pressure vessels, pipelines, and heavy structural fabrication led by Tier-1 EPCIC contractors.
• Proven background in pipeline installation, cable-laying, hook-up operations, and offshore platform works both greenfield and brownfield.
• Competence in onshore pipeline inspections, topside and jacket fabrication, module inspections, and oversight for offshore containers per DNV 2.7 series standards.
• Knowledgeable in certification and inspections of portable offshore tanks, adhering to DNV, IMDG, and ADR/RID standards.
• Expertise in lifting gear manufacturing, wire rope sling inspections, certification standards, and compliance.
• Strong auditing and technical inspection skills with experience in safety critical elements (SCE) verification and integrity assurance.
• Solid understanding of welding processes, metallurgy, fabrication and industry codes including AWS, ASME, API, ISO, ASNT, and NACE.
• Experience reviewing and approving welding documentation such as WPS, PQR, and WPQ.
• Worked in Third-Party Certifying Authority and Technical Integrity Verification roles, particularly on projects within QatarEnergy and affiliates.
• Good grasp of ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17020, and ISO/IEC 17065 certification and auditing requirements.
• Mandatory experience as Certifying Authority for offshore pipelay, pipeline installation, pre-commissioning, and vessel audits.
• Hands-on experience with offshore topside platforms, jacket fabrication yards, and offshore installation surveys supporting technical integrity checks.
• Knowledge of offshore coating inspections, including PFP, TSA coatings, and galvanizing.
• Witnessing Factory Acceptance Tests, final inspections, and vendor or manufacturer evaluations.
• Proficient in inspection scheduling, coordinating programs, and effective communication with project teams and clients.
• Strong skills in client management, business development, proposal preparation, and presentations.
• Proven ability to discover new business opportunities, conduct market research, and develop strategic plans supporting revenue growth.

• Identify and cultivate new business prospects through networking and market insights.
• Conduct client negotiations, presentations, and proposal preparations to secure new contracts.
• Collaborate internally to develop and implement business development strategies meeting revenue objectives.
