Position Overview
As a Utility Locate Technician based in Lakeville, Minnesota, you will play a key role in ensuring the security and reliability of underground gas, electric, and communication infrastructure. Your responsibility will be to perform precise utility markings to prevent damage during excavation activities. Utilizing the sophisticated LaunchPoint software, you will manage work efficiency and accuracy daily.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly wage ranging from $25.00 to $31.00, adjusted based on experience.

Responsibilities
- Operate independently outdoors, using a company vehicle as a mobile office to complete daily assigned locate requests.
- Identify and mark underground utilities accurately and safely with paint, flags, and other marking tools.
- Utilize a mobile work system to receive and manage daily assignments.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and work overtime, including potential night and weekend shifts as required.
Qualifications
- Successful completion of pre-employment screenings including drug testing, motor vehicle record assessment, and background check.
- This is a safety-sensitive Department of Transportation position; therefore, marijuana use is prohibited, including medical and recreational use.
- Minimum educational requirement of a high school diploma or GED and at least 18 years of age.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
