Your Role

As Treasury Manager based in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, you will lead cash flow strategy implementation across the country. Your key focus will be optimizing currency exchange operations and forecasting liquidity to ensure smooth money transfer service operations. This role requires strong data handling skills including proficient use of spreadsheets, charts, and cash management tools. You will manage agent network liquidity, build banking partnerships, monitor bank transactions, and oversee FX activities specific to the Congolese market.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop and apply cash rebalancing strategies across agent networks to improve liquidity and operational efficiency.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with banking partners and manage daily banking activities accurately.
• Spot liquidity challenges and create innovative strategies to meet Wave's cash flow demands.
• Manage foreign exchange operations with a good grasp of the local forex market regulations.
• Forecast cash needs to keep optimal balances in bank accounts to support ongoing operations.
• Monitor bank balances, transactional fees, manage electronic float levels, and ensure buffer adequacy for seamless service delivery.
• Coordinate timely cash collection and deposits from agents into the correct bank accounts.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in cash flow operations or closely related financial roles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace applications.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or related disciplines.

• Location: Primarily office-based in Kinshasa with potential travel to field locations within the Democratic Republic of Congo.
• Work authorization in the Democratic Republic of Congo is required.
