Position Overview

We are seeking a Transport Planner to join our national Transport Planning team, contributing significantly to transport planning projects and analysis. This position, located in Brisbane or Sydney, is integral to our national Mobility Advisory unit, operating within a supportive leadership culture that offers hybrid working policies and flexible hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in transport planning initiatives including active transport, public transit, and multimodal strategies, plans, studies, and option evaluations.
  • Assist in multimodal network and infrastructure planning for corridors, interchanges, and precinct developments.
  • Develop high-quality reports and presentations that effectively communicate analyses and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
  • Support traffic engineering assessments focusing on intersection operations, road safety, local traffic management, and traffic impact studies.
  • Contribute to the preparation of transport proposals.
  • Engage actively in ongoing learning to expand relevant skill sets.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience in transport planning and/or precinct development.
  • Solid understanding of traffic engineering principles.
  • Proficient in Excel; experience with SIDRA software is advantageous.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal relationship capabilities.
  • A motivated learner with eagerness to develop skills in transport planning and analysis through both training and project involvement.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, planning, or an analogous discipline.
