Role Overview

As a Transformation Consultant within Woolworths New Zealand's Transformation team, you will be instrumental in leading and supporting strategic transformation efforts to deliver on our business objectives. Success in this role requires strong commercial acumen, the ability to influence senior stakeholders, and confidence managing initiatives within a matrix organizational setup.

Key Responsibilities

Lead strategic initiatives that align with Woolworths' core business goals, collaborating closely with internal business teams throughout the transformation journey.
Analyze and redesign business processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, eliminate complexity and duplication, and enhance the overall customer experience.
Translate strategic objectives into actionable plans, including developing financial justifications and clear implementation roadmaps, at times driving the delivery of these initiatives.
Utilize financial expertise to prepare cost-benefit analyses and business cases that assist leaders in making objective, data-driven decisions regarding strategic options.
Contribute to the Community of Practice by creating knowledge assets and standardized methodologies while exploring innovations such as AI and emerging technologies to stay at the forefront of transformation practices.
Produce high-quality executive summaries and presentations that synthesize your findings and recommendations drawn from stakeholder insights.

Candidate Profile

Minimum of five years’ experience in business transformation, ideally including consulting roles spanning multiple disciplines and process reengineering.
Experience managing full lifecycle organizational transformations in sectors including public, commercial enterprises, or leading consulting firms.
Organizational design experience is advantageous.
Possession of a Bachelor's or Master's degree relevant to the field.
Demonstrated proficiency in Agile methodologies within complex matrixed organizations.
Result-oriented and collaborative mindset, able to thrive amidst ambiguity.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.
A strong dedication to continuous learning and professional growth.
